Guidelines for Reviewing Applications:

  • Review each application you receive.
  • Thank each applicant: Acknowledge the time and effort they invested in applying.
  • Follow up with all applicants: Inform them promptly whether or not they are selected, and, if possible, provide brief constructive feedback for their growth.
  • Schedule an in-person or phone/virtual interview
  • Choose your intern(s)

Please note: Interns seek hands-on experience to explore career goals. Even without prior experience, their enthusiasm, fresh perspective, and willingness to learn can make them valuable team members.

If an applicant does not meet your hiring criteria:

  • Inform the applicant with your decision as soon as possible so they can continue their internship job search.
    • Send an email or call the applicant to let them know they won't move forward with your hiring.
    • Sample email: "Thank you for applying for the [position name]. After careful consideration, we've decided to move forward with another candidate for this role. We truly appreciate your time and interest in our company. Wishing you all the best in your job search."
